FACILITATOR | Ft. Worth, Texas

Idea-ologist, amateur anthropologist, helper

Hello lovely people… Bravo to you for signing up for this amazing life-changing class!   My name is Cathy David and I am very excited to be part of this adventure. I am a 1985 ND grad and spent the last academic year on campus as a Fellow in the Inspired Leadership Initiative. I am energized by helping people see possibilities - in their lives or business projects - and moving those ideas forward. In my prior life, I was a corporate executive and sometimes entrepreneur.  I have traveled the world looking for inspiration and ideas for furnishing people’s homes, owned a restaurant, raised and raced thoroughbred horses, started a sports league, launched target.com, worked for a winery….with common threads of focusing on strategy, creativity, innovation, and leadership.  My favorite part of any business I have been involved in was definitely the people - and working with teams to accomplish magic.

I am a committed lifelong learner and believe that Curious George is my spirit animal.  I currently do a lot of volunteer and philanthropic work, along with some consulting and executive coaching.   I grew up in New York and have lived in 8 states; (today I live in Fort Worth Texas).    I am a big fan of the arts world, love music and sports, old Westerns, and reading.  I am an excellent gift wrapper and an inveterate traveler with a large collection of luggage.  I love to laugh and am most definitely a people person.  My personal philosophy is “Grace Before Meals, Toasts Before Cocktails” designed to remind us to take time and be grateful for those we are with and for all that we have.
